ER DOCTORS

Dr. Elizabeth Schaub received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2006.  In 2007 she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Encina Veterinary Hospital and East Bay Veterinary Specialists in Walnut Creek, California.  Her professional interests include critical care and pain management and she is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.  When not at work she enjoys spending time restoring her historic home (aka the semi-rotten farm house), sewing, and science fiction in all its forms.

Dr. Désirée Darden earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University.  She has since gained extensive experience as a practicing clinician and managing veterinarian in various area veterinary hospitals and emergency facilities over the years.  In one hospital she even initiated several programs for outreach and practice growth, including “Career Day”, Open House, and also worked closely with the “Pets Are Wonderful” (PAW) Chapter in Washington, DC. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Stewart McNair received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Ross University in 2006. He completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Service in Rochester New York in 2007. In his spare time he likes to work on remodeling his townhouse, hiking with his dog Sidney, and spending time on and around the water.
